What inspired you to look into video interviewing? Were there specific challenges in your day to day were you looking to solve with video interviewing?

A:

We noticed our recruitment process was lacking in efficiency. And we were seeking a new interviewing method to increase the number of candidates interviewed.

We did not have a similar tool that we were using, so this was our first time using video interviewing.

A:

Typically our process began with a phone screen. Then, qualified candidates would meet with the hiring manager and potentially other individuals. One-way interviews replaced our phone screen and allowed our team to view all interviews in only an hour. The team reviews interviews and sends their feedback as to who they'd like to advance in the process.

How do you get your team members to buy into video interviewing?

A:

Once we started sharing the platform, they were impressed that it gave insight to the candidate prior to even speaking with them. We use a lot of personal experience and reassure team members new to video interviewing that the interview collects all the info they'll need to make an informed decision.
