Goals for Video Interviewing

Bullhorn was looking to utilize a video interviewing solution that was easy to use and create time-savings for their team. They were hoping for a solution that would make the creation and sharing of interviews easy. They also sought a solution which branded their interview landing pages.

Q&A with Candidate Recruiter and Coordinator, Caitlyn Rhodes:

Q:

What inspired you to look into video interviewing?

A:

Our team recruits globally so we were interested in a replacement to phone screening in different time zones. Additionally, we wanted a solution that would be less time-consuming and easier to coordinate across the globe.

Q:

What criteria did you have in mind for a video interviewing solution?

A:

We wanted a video interviewing platform that would be convenient, created efficiencies in our system, and integrated with our applicant tracking system (Bullhorn, obviously!)

Q:

What was getting started with Spark Hire like?

A:

The process was seamless. When we signed up, our Customer Success Hero took the time to set up our branding for us and step us through the system, incorporating the use of our integration with the Bullhorn system.

Q:

What are some of the results you’ve seen with Spark Hire?

A:

We have utilized Spark Hire across our entire team. We use video interviews for nearly every entry level opening around the globe for the past 9 months. We have saved countless hours with every week we use the platform.

Q:

What was your team’s hiring process prior to using Spark Hire?

A:

Our process would begin with phone screens for all candidates, sharing notes with hiring managers before they phone screen the candidates, and finally bring the candidate on-site for a formal interview.

Q:

How does video interviewing fit into your hiring process?

A:

Video interviewing has replaced the recruiter's phone screening, especially for entry-level roles. Recruiters then share the video interview with the hiring manager, who can review the interview any time and any place.

Q:

How do you get your team members to buy in to video interviewing?

A:

We have highlighted the time saved for our busy teams and the insight we gain from this method of interviewing.

Q:

What was your aha moment -- the moment you knew you loved Spark Hire?

A:

When we realized not only would we save time and eliminate our phone screens, but also ease the process of scheduling interviews for international recruiting.

Q:

What is your favorite aspect of video interviewing?

A:

My team loves the flexibility of developing custom questions and question sets, reviewing candidate responses no matter their time or location, and ease of scheduling.

Q:

What are some things you love about Spark Hire?

A:

The ability to personalize our jobs, video messages, and interview questions have improved the personalization and speed of our hiring process.

Q:

What are three words that describe your experience working with Spark Hire?

A:

Convenient, intuitive and personal.
